Better late than never on this update 🙂 But our first annual Taco Ride was a glowing, meat- and cheese-filled success.

The ride featured stops at

• El Cactus (Coralville)
• El Paso (Iowa City)
• World of Bikes (Sponsor!)
• Heartland Soles (Sponsor!)
• Fuzzy’s Taco Shop (Coralville)

This was also our annual Poker Ride–riders get one card per business, and one card per taco eaten 🙂 Interspersed between all the tacos, we also threw in a 1 mile handicapped-start sprint (sprinting when you’re 2 taco stops into a ride is interesting), and a margarita stop care of the magnificent World of Bikes Trainer Blender…Traineritas!

Our kind sponsors donated gift cards and other prizes–best poker hands at the end of the ride were the winners. (And, after all the tacos, it was an escalating arms race to build poker hands out of 11 cards.)

Given that our Board of Directors has taken to recent board meetings at Fuzzy’s, it’s very possible we may see a repeat of this event next Fall. Stay tuned!
