Great job this year everyone!! We will do this again in 2016.

----
It is that time of year again!! This year we decided to hold our annual winter competition without all that double entry jazz with USAT. So we have renamed it to the HEAT Winter Challenge (HWC)! The competition will again be a virtual competition similar to the previous NCC, but with our own internal prizes and less focus on total miles. The idea is just to give our members a little more motivation during these cold winter months. The more the merrier so be sure to encourage your teammates to join in the fun!.

The competition will start JANUARY 19TH 2015!!

This year there will be 6 weeks of competition, with all awards given at the end of the competition period. The first two weeks will be swim focused, the second on the bike, and third on the run (Just like a triathlon!). You will log your miles in this site, one log per workout.

Log miles from January 19th through Mar 1st.

Our goal is to have 50% participation (about double last year), so help us make this happen!! Most of you are already logging / tracking workouts somewhere so hopefully it won't be hard to get some more people logging those miles this time around.

We have fully populated our mileage log with every current HEAT member so that everyone is encouraged to participate. If you don't want to, simply don't log any miles. But, remember, even just one mile will get you entered into the random drawing.

General Rules:

  • Your 2015 dues must be paid to win any award.
  • All mileage must be reported accurately and honestly, within 7 days of the end of the competition.
  • All mileage must be reported in "actual" distances. In order to make each different sport fairly represented, we will calculate "adjusted" miles for the overall competition and the random drawings. The "adjusted" miles are calculated as follows:

    • 1 swim mile = 10 adjusted miles
    • 1 run mile = 3 adjusted miles
    • 1 bike mile = 1 adjusted mile
  • You cannot win a random drawing if you win any other award (but you may win more than one performance award).

  • Lowest Balance Overall (Male)
